Christmas EP

This year I have an extra-special reason to look forward to Christmas. I have to admit, I am usually a bit of a grouch about the festive season; Christmas usually means a hectic period of driving between other people's houses, invariably whilst feeling ill for at least some of it. I am one of those grumpy sticks-in-the-mud who mutters under their breath when the tinsel appears in Tesco in mid September. But this year is special because Mr. Expendable Friend will be coming home for a visit. He's been in Canada since mid September and I am UBER-excited to see him again, even if just for a couple of weeks. In honour of this, for the first time ever, I've felt Christmas-y enough to make a Christmas EP. But I don't think I could live with myself if I released something Christmas related in November...so December 1st it is! Check back on Thursday if you'd like to hear four new Christmas tunes.

As with every EP I've made, it's been a long journey involving many late nights and much carrying-around-of-audio-files on the Pen of Paranoia (USB stick), but I'm really proud of the result.

I really, really hope you enjoy it. (And I really, really hope that the next one won't take as long!)

Preparing an hour-long set for Queens' May Ball tomorrow night. Mega excited, as playing at a May Ball has been an ambition of mine for about 10 years! I'm on at 3:30. Yes, that's 3:30 a.m.

More to come after the event, as tonight is probably better spent practising than blogging!
